Jessica London has some amazing fall fashion posted and, much like when I was perusing Lane Bryant, I had a tough time picking just 10. I tried to focus on pieces that were “early fall” – some that you can enjoy now and then use throughout the winter. There are some classics, some pieces with a bit of sass and, of course, I adore the leather from Jessica London so you know that had to be included.
Confession: When I lived in Orlando for a few years, it was SO hard not to buy pieces that were leather (skirts, jackets, etc.) I could wear them maybe 3-4 days a year and, using my CPY {Cost Per Wear} factor, I couldn’t justify the expense. Quite frankly, moving back to the Northeast might have been one of the smartest decisions for my wardrobe because now I can enjoy all the lovely fall fashion sans the scorching heat.
So, let’s get to shopping, shall we?
1. It’s been said that every girl needs a good trench coat for all seasons and this Double-Breasted trench is perfect for fall.
2. Speaking of classics, remember what I said about every girl needing a white blouse in their wardrobe? Jessica London has a Poplin Blouse that will not totally break the bank!
3. Sweaters are going to be a big thing for me this year. At the 9to9, I’m always freezing and don’t always think to bring a cozy cardi with me. I always add a few turtlenecks each year and I think I’ll be getting a rich sapphire hued turtleneck for the wardrobe and, perhaps, the ruby and spice colors.
4. This retro off -the- shoulder sweater is something I might wear for a casual night out. I confess, I did rock one in the 80s/90s, but I think I can make it look more modern now. Would it be too risky to pair this oversize sweater with some leather jeggings or, perhaps, an OTK boot? Hmmm… deep thoughts.
5. This Ponté Capelet is a softer look than a blazer, don’t you think? I love how they have it layered with the v-neck sweater and the leather pencil skirt.
6. I always associate fall with rich leather, especially leather skirts, probably because one of my early fashionista memories had me “borrowing” my mother’s long leather skirt and rockin’ it with some stilettos and a great sweater. Of course, she was ready to kill me because that skirt cost a fortune and, well, I was a teenager who needed to learn to stay out of her closet (for the record – I never did). Now that I’m older, I have always been on the lookout for a good brown leather skirt and I think I have found it. Jessica London’s Leather Pencil Skirt not only comes in black, but also in chocolate brown and red. Guess who is going to “update” her wardrobe with this lovely and might get another color too if the cash back and online coupons are right.
7. Speaking of leather, this Leather Sheath Dress is adorable! I love the sassy bow detail. They also have a cute leather shrug or a cozy cropped cardi if you don’t want to show your arms.
8. Technically, this Leather Jacket with the Ruffle Front came out in the summer, but they have a gorgeous luggage color that will be PERFECT for fall. This gal will be rockin’ it with some jeans and my fave draped blouse.
9. Another fabulous jacket that I’m eyeing – this Blazer with a Draped Front! I love love love the Spice color.
10. Finally, a bit casual but with an edge, this tee with the faux leather shoulders. So cute.
