Summer Lovin’ with Jessica London

You would think that with living in Florida for as long as I did, I’d have a killer summer wardrobe but sadly, that is not the case. I can assure you that my closet needs a jolt of summer freshness with some great fashion finds. Kickin’ off the 2012 Summer Lovin’ series here at Fashionista+ is one of my favorites, Jessica London. This summer season, their website is full of bright colors, clean lines and some seriously amazing pieces that need to come home with me ASAP.  Here are my picks:

Summer Lovin' with Jessica London ~ Fashionista+

1. For the 9to9 – you can never go wrong with linen blazer. I love love love this Draped Linen Blazer in the most intoxicating shade of spice. They also have a matching Maxi Skirt to pull the look together.

2. Linen is perfect for the sweltering summertime heat. Jessica London’s Linen Safari Shirt is not typical with the kimono sleeves but I love the look of it. It would be perfect for strolling the boardwalk.

3. Add a little summer romance to your look with a rose tinted Ruffle Wrap Blouse. This blouse would be stunning for an evening out or even dressed down with a pair of nice jeans and some sassy wedges.

4. Channel your inner Audrey in this classic Linen Eyelet Sheath Dress. This will be one of those dresses you will wear time and time again – just don’t wear it to a wedding (unless it’s yours).

5. Looking for that dress that is perfect to pack for vacations? Why not pack this Black and White Travel Print Dress. From some of the reviews, they advocate wearing a cami underneath because it dips a little low but it stands up well in a crowded suitcase.

6. One other dress that is on everyone’s radar is the Maxi Dress. I will be spotlighting various Maxis next week but this Wrap Maxi Dress had to be pushed to the forefront. I adore the shade of blue and I can picture it paired with one of my favorite Mark + James wedge sandals.

7. Finally – if you don’t want to rock the dress, Jessica London has some great colored pants this season. I’m loving these L-Pocket Denim Capris in white and I’m also tempted to grab the peach and mint colors. They also have these Colored Jeggings that might be fun under some tunics – I especially like the turquoise color.

Continuing our Fall Into Fashion series let’s take a look see at another of my favorites, Jessica London.

Fashionista+ - Fall Into Fashion - Jessica London

1. Looking for that *perfect* animal print blouse that takes things to the next level – check out this Animal Print Blouse with a keyhole detail.

2. Going with the military trend, how fabulous is this Military Style Coat to top off your outfit?

3. This Cropped Tweed Jacket would look luxe with a pair of dark denim jeans, booties and a strand (or three) of pearls.

4. Speaking of pearls, what about this Jewelneck Blazer With Pearl Trim.  How very Coco!

5. To go with the Pearl Trim Blazer, why not pair it with this Textured Lace Pencil Skirt. Also, you could wear just the skirt with this gorgeous Drapeneck Sweater and channel your inner Joan from Mad Men

6. I adore cardigans – the cozier the better – and this Belted Cardigan Sweater is right up my alley (no pun intended!)

7. Looking for a dress that will take you from the office to a night on the town? Jessica London has a gorgeous Cobalt Pleat Front Dress that will capture everyone’s attention.

8. Finally, because it would NOT be fall without suede or leather, check out this gorgeous Suede Skirt that is dyin’ to be paired with a killer knee high boot – like their Alexa Boot.

What are some of your favorite pieces from Jessica London’s Fall Arrivals?

Obsessed With: The Leather Sheath

There’s something to be said about leather – when done correctly, of course. It takes a highly skilled gal to rock a leather sheath and I think Jessica London might have just scored a winner with this luxe Leather Sheath from their Fall ’11 offerings. Talk about being bold AND beautiful. This leather sheath would look chic under a suit as well as have that *wow* factor when rocked on its own with a pair of sassy stilettos or knee high boots.

I’m really starting to get excited for fall – especially since I now live in the Northeast and can actually WEAR the leather/suede often unlike when I lived in Orlando – ugh – leather in the humidity – not a pretty sight. This dress is a must for my arsenal for one of the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival events this October and, of course, for some seriously fab parties. Plus, the price is reasonable and Jessica London always has great sales and coupons (plus cash back of course). So, take a hint from me and snatch this up quick because I’m predicting it WILL sell out fast.
